Given the fact the since I had begun uploading the Documents to iCloud the Time Machine had been stuck on its backup (2 weeks) and cancelling that backup ended up fixing the upload to iCloud, the agent was led to the conclusion that something was interfering. He also stated something which was new to me and something you can all try. The agent was surprised by this and said that he was going to log this a bug. After the reboot the Finder showed that all files had been uploaded.

The agent asked me to reboot the Mac which I did to see if that would reset the Finder's status. So we came to the conclusion that the Finder was getting stuck on its progress and thus was not correctly reflecting the actual upload in its status. So the Finder was indicating that it still needed to upload a lot of stuff but that stuff was actually already uploaded. While the upload indeed commenced the Status in Finder was stuck. To we cancelled the current backup after which the upload to iCloud commenced. It appears that Time Machine was interfering with the sync or vice versa, the support agent could not tell.Īt least while the iCloud upload was stuck the Time Machine was 'trying' to perform a backup but that process NEVER progressed. While not finding the reason we did mange to find an undocumented and black-box workaround. It took me 3 weeks before my documents were all completely uploaded.Īt least according to the information in the status field of the finder.Īfter beginning this here post, I called Apple Support which provided me with excellent service via screen sharing and what not. Thanks in Advance to anyone taking the time to post ! If anyone have any ideas as to what is yet again wrong with iCloud, I would sure like some advice But iCloud is the slowest thing I have ever experienced and like I said after 14 days, it has yet to complete about 40 GB. I have zero issues upstreaming to either dropbox or Spideroak at amazing speeds. I have Cable Speed of 400mbits downstream an 25mbit upstream. I find that very hard to believe as I can repro this issue on 3 different systems.

They Said and I quote 'We dont have any upload problems with iCloud and your problem has not yet been recreated by others.' I have been on the phone with Apple Care who had no clue what could be going on. I then have to reboot whereafter it starts to upload only to get stuck again. iCloud is still uploading and still getting stuck after about 10 to 30 minutes of upload. It has been almost 2 weeks since I began the nasty task of asking iCloud to include above mentioned folders. As the header says after enabling iCloud Drive to include Documents and Desktop the upload keeps getting stuck.
